   1. One who skates.

   2. (Zo["o]l.) Any one of numerous species of hemipterous
      insects belonging to {Gerris}, {Pyrrhocoris}, {Prostemma},
      and allied genera. They have long legs, and run rapidly
      over the surface of the water, as if skating.
