Gear \Gear\, n. [OE. gere, ger, AS. gearwe clothing, adornment,
armor, fr. gearo, gearu, ready, yare; akin to OHG. garaw[=i],
garw[=i] ornament, dress. See {Yare}, and cf. {Garb} dress.]
