Upright \Up"right`\, n. (Basketwork)
   A tool made from a flat strip of steel with chisel edges at
   both ends, bent into horseshoe, the opening between the
   cutting edges being adjustable, used for reducing splits to
   skeins. Called in full {upright shave}.
