Turmoil \Tur"moil\, n. [Of uncertain origin; perhaps fr. OF.
   tremouille the hopper of a mill, trembler to tremble (cf. E.
   tremble); influenced by E. turn and moil.]
   Harassing labor; trouble; molestation by tumult; disturbance;
   worrying confusion.
