Taxidermy \Tax"i*der`my\, n. [Gr. ta`xis an arranging,
   arrangement (fr. ta`ssein to arrange) + ? a skin, from ? to

   The art of preparing, preserving, and mounting the skins of
   animals so as to represent their natural appearance, as for
   cabinets.
