         {Mainframe} magnetic tape cartridges for use with
        {IBM 3480} or compatible tape drives; or {QIC} tapes used on
        {workstation}s and {microcomputer}s.  The term comes from the
        square (actually rectangular) shape of the cartridges;
        contrast {round tape}.
