   Returning, or flowing back; reflex; as, reflux action.

Reflux \Re"flux`\, n. [F. reflux. See {Refluent}, {Flux}.]
   A flowing back, as the return of a fluid; ebb; reaction; as,
   the flux and reflux of the tides.
