Pithy \Pith"y\, a. [Compar. {Pithier}; superl. {Pithiest}.]
   1. Consisting wholly, or in part, of pith; abounding in pith;
      as, a pithy stem; a pithy fruit.

   2. Having nervous energy; forceful; cogent.

            This pithy speech prevailed, and all agreed.
