Palpable \Pal"pa*ble\, a. [F. palpable, L. palpabilis, fr.
   palpare to feel, stroke; cf. palpus the soft palm of the
   hand.]
   1. Capable of being touched and felt; perceptible by the
      touch; as, a palpable form. --Shak.
