Network Termination
     
        (NT, NT1) A device connecting the customer's data or telephone
        equipment to the local {ISDN} exchange carrier's line.  The NT
        device provides a connection for {terminal equipment} (TE) and
        {terminal adaptor} (TA) equipment to the {local loop}.
