Mush \Mush\, n. [Cf. Gael. mus, muss, pap, porridge, any thick
   preparation of fruit, OHG. muos; akin to AS. & OS. m[=o]s
   food, and prob, to E. meat. See {Meat}.]
   Meal (esp. Indian meal) boiled in water; hasty pudding;
   supawn. [U.S.]
