Meteoroid \Me"te*or*oid\, n. [Meteor + -oid.] (Astron.)
A small body moving through space, or revolving about the
sun, which on entering the earth's atmosphere would be
deflagrated and appear as a meteor.
These bodies [small, solid bodies] before they come
