Magnetize \Mag"net*ize\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Magnetized}; prep.

   1. To communicate magnetic properties to; as, to magnetize a
      needle.

   2. To attract as a magnet attracts, or like a magnet; to
      move; to influence.
