Lob \Lob\, n. [W. llob an unwieldy lump, a dull fellow, a
   blockhead. Cf. {Looby}, {Lubber}.]
   1. A dull, heavy person. `` Country lobs.'' --Gauden.

   2. Something thick and heavy.
