   lind, gelind, OHG. lindi, Icel. linr, L. lenis soft, mild,
   lentus flexible, and AS. linnan to yield. Cf. {Lenient}.]
   1. Mild; calm; as, lithe weather. [Obs.]

   2. Capable of being easily bent; pliant; flexible; limber;
