Junction Field Effect Transistor
     
         (JFET, Junction FET) A {Field Effect Transistor}
        in which the conducting channel lies between pn junctions in
        the silicon material.  A pn junction acts as a {diode}, so it
        becomes conductive if the gate voltage gets reversed.
