   (-?), sometimes {Criterions} (-?nz). [Gr. ????? a means for
   judging, fr. ???? decider, judge, fr. ????? to separate. See
   {Certain}.]
   A standard of judging; any approved or established rule or
   test, by which facts, principles opinions, and conduct are
   tried in forming a correct judgment respecting them.
