Cope \Cope\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Coped} (k[=o]pt); p. pr. & vb.
   n. {Coping}.] [OE. copen, coupen, to buy, bargain, prob. from
   D. koopen to buy, orig., to bargain. See {Cheap}.]
