hut, kernel + ? sight, form.] (Bot.)
A one-celled, dry, indehiscent fruit, with a thin membranous
pericarp, adhering closely to the seed, so that fruit and
seed are incorporated in one body, forming a single grain, as
of wheat, barley, etc.
