Bother \Both"er\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Bothered} (?); p. pr. &
   vb. n. {Bothering}.] [Cf. Ir. buaidhirt trouble, buaidhrim I
   vex.]
   To annoy; to trouble; to worry; to perplex. See {Pother}.

   Note: The imperative is sometimes used as an exclamation
         mildly imprecatory.
