   vb. n. {Behooving}.] [OE. bihoven, behoven, AS. beh?fian to
   have need of, fr. beh?f. See {Behoof}.]
   To be necessary for; to be fit for; to be meet for, with
   respect to necessity, duty, or convenience; -- mostly used
   impersonally.
