Badly \Bad"ly\, adv.
   In a bad manner; poorly; not well; unskillfully; imperfectly;
   unfortunately; grievously; so as to cause harm; disagreeably;
   seriously.

   Note: Badly is often used colloquially for very much or very
         greatly, with words signifying to want or need.
