Autumnal \Au*tum"nal\, a. [L. auctumnalis, autumnalis: cf. F.

1. Of, belonging to, or peculiar to, autumn; as, an autumnal
tint; produced or gathered in autumn; as, autumnal fruits;
flowering in autumn; as, an autumnal plant.
