   to match, prepare, F. appareiller; OF. a (L. ad) + pareil
   like, similar, fr. LL. pariculus, dim. of L. par equal. See
   {Pair}.]
   1. External clothing; vesture; garments; dress; garb;
      external habiliments or array.
