Abhorrent \Ab*hor"rent\, a. [L. abhorens, -rentis, p. pr. of
   abhorrere.]
   1. Abhorring; detesting; having or showing abhorrence;
      loathing; hence, strongly opposed to; as, abhorrent
      thoughts.
