Valero- \Val"er*o-\ (Chem.)
   A combining form (also used adjectively) indicating
   derivation from, or relation to, valerian or some of its
   products, as valeric acid; as in valerolactone, a colorless
   oily liquid produced as the anhydride of an hydroxy valeric
   acid.
