Tingle \Tin"gle\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Tingled}; p. pr. & vb. n.

   1. To feel a kind of thrilling sensation, as in hearing a
      shrill sound.

            At which both the ears of every one that heareth it
            shall tingle.                         --1 Sam. iii.

   2. To feel a sharp, thrilling pain.

            The pale boy senator yet tingling stands. --Pope.

   3. To have, or to cause, a sharp, thrilling sensation, or a
      slight pricking sensation.

            They suck pollution through their tingling vein.
