   Serving to contain, deliver, or regulate a supply of
   anything; as, a supply tank or valve.

   {Supply system} (Zo["o]l.), the system of tubes and canals in
      sponges by means of which food and water are absorbed. See
      Illust. of {Spongi[ae]}.
