Scorification \Sco`ri*fi*ca"tion\, n. [Cf. F. scorification. See
   {Scorify}.] (Chem.)
   The act, process, or result of scorifying, or reducing to a
   slag; hence, the separation from earthy matter by means of a
   slag; as, the scorification of ores.
