   n.), v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Progressed}; p. pr. & vb. n.
   {Progressing}.]
   1. To make progress; to move forward in space; to continue
      onward in course; to proceed; to advance; to go on; as,
      railroads are progressing. ``As his recovery progressed.''
