Procellarian \Pro`cel*la"ri*an\, n. [L. procella a storm.]
   (Zo["o]l.)
   One of a family of oceanic birds ({Procellarid[ae]})
   including the petrels, fulmars, and shearwaters. They are
   often seen in great abundance in stormy weather.
