Poulard \Pou*lard"\ (p[=oo]*l[aum]rd"), n. [F. poularde pullet,
   fr. poule hen. See {Pullet}.] (Zo["o]l.)
   A pullet from which the ovaries have been removed to produce
   fattening; hence, a fat pullet.
