Parachordal \Par`a*chor"dal\, a. [Pref. para- + chordal.]
   (Anat.)
   Situated on either side of the notochord; -- applied
   especially to the cartilaginous rudiments of the skull on
   each side of the anterior part of the notochord. -- n. A
   parachordal cartilage.
