Occurrent \Oc*cur"rent\, a. [L. occurrens, -entis, p. pr. of
   occurrere: cf.F. occurrent. See {Occur}.]
   Occurring or happening; hence, incidental; accidental.

Occurrent \Oc*cur"rent\, n.
   1. One who meets; hence, an adversary. [Obs.] --Holland.
