Owlet \Owl"et\, n. [Dim. of owl. Cf. {Howlet}.] (Zo["o]l.)
   A small owl; especially, the European species ({Athene
   noctua}), and the California flammulated owlet ({Megascops
   flammeolus}).

   {Owlet moth} (Zo["o]l.), any noctuid moth.
