See {Luxuriate}.] Exuberant in growth; rank; excessive; very abundant; as, a luxuriant growth of grass; luxuriant foliage. Prune the luxuriant, the uncouth refine. --Pope. {Luxuriant flower} (Bot.), one in which the floral envelopes are overdeveloped at the expense of the essential organs.
