1. The act of lustrating or purifying.
And holy water for lustration bring. --Dryden.
2. (Antiq.) A sacrifice, or ceremony, by which cities,
fields, armies, or people, defiled by crimes, pestilence,
or other cause of uncleanness, were purified.
