Herborize \Her"bo*rize\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Herborized}; p.
   pr. & vb. n. {Herborizing}.] [F. herboriser, for herbariser,
   fr. L. herbarium. See {Hebrarium}.]
   To search for plants, or new species of plants, with a view
   to classifying them.

         He herborized as he traveled.            --W. Tooke.

   To form the figures of plants in; -- said in reference to
   minerals. See {Arborized}.

         Herborized stones contain fine mosses.   --Fourcroy
