Eurypteroidea \Eu*ryp`te*roi"de*a\, n. pl. [NL. See
   {Eurypteroid}.] (Paleont.)
   An extinct order of Merostomata, of which the genus
   Eurypterus is the type. They are found only in Paleozoic
   rocks. [Written also {Eurypterida}.]
