Embase \Em*base"\, v. t. [Pref. em- + base, a. or v. t.: cf. OF.
   embaissier.]
   To bring down or lower, as in position, value, etc.; to
   debase; to degrade; to deteriorate. [Obs.]

         Embased the valleys, and embossed the hills.
