Chevalier \Che`va*lier"\, n. [F., fr. LL. caballarius. See
{Cavaller}.]
1. A horseman; a knight; a gallant young man. ``Mount,
chevaliers; to arms.'' --Shak.
2. A member of certain orders of knighthood.

fraud; a pickpocket; a sharper.
