Cerotin \Cer"o*tin\, n. [See {Cerotene}.] (Chem.)
   A white crystalline substance, {C27H55.OH}, obtained from
   Chinese wax, and regarded as an alcohol of the marsh gas
   series; -- called also {cerotic alcohol}, {ceryl alcohol}.
