   1. One who, or that which, whistles, or produces or a
      whistling sound.

      (a) The ring ousel.

      (c) The golden-eye.
      (d) The golden plover and the gray plover.

   3. (Zo["o]l.) The hoary, or northern, marmot ({Arctomys
      pruinosus}).
